Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to become a member to submit writing?

This site is built around the personal pages of individual writers. Our main aim is to promote the writers along with their work. A site full of anonymous writing would defeat that purpose. Also for the purposes of search functions, security and copyright, the sign-up process is a necessity. Those who are concerned about their privacy can use a nickname and have the option of not displaying personal information such as age and email address on their personal pages.

Is there any payment involved?

No. At the moment WriteClique is a completely free site with no payments being made either way. However we do have plans to include some advanced pay features in the future such as digital timestamping and advertising of published work.

Can I edit my personal page?

Yes. When you sign up, you will be asked to create a password for your account. When you enter this password at the Members page, you will be able to modify your profile, change your password, delete submitted work, add/delete published work, etc.

Do you edit submissions?

No. All writing on this site is posted the way we received it.

Are there any restrictions to what content I can post on this site?

Yes. Since this site caters to all ages without access restrictions, it is strictly monitored for offensive content. All submitted material will be checked by our panel of editors.

Are there any other restrictions?

Since this is the Internet, there are some restrictions regarding the amount of text in submissions. We have set a general limit of 3000 words per submission. The submissions page will not accept submissions above this limit.

How safe is my writing on this site?

Many writers are concerned about their intellectual property on the Internet. The truth is that no amount of safeguards can make it IMPOSSIBLE for someone to steal your work - this applies to any form of publication. On the Internet, we have to strike a balance between security and accessibility. Our current system makes writing on this site as safe as it would be in a printed book. The only way to copy any of the writing found on this site is to print it out on paper along with the name and copyright of the writer.

Who owns the writing on this site?

All writing on this site is the property of the individual writers.
