Delon Weerasinghe
   

A television director by profession, Delon Weerasinghe has written professionally for the stage, print, screen and radio. Best known perhaps as a playwright, his play “Thicker than Blood” won the Gratiaen prize for 2005. He is currently working on a film version.

Delon has written commissioned work for The Royal Court theatre and BBC World Service radio. He wrote and directed his first short film “Hide & Seek” in 2003. He has also worked as a columnist for Funworld an international humor magazine and The Sunday Times for two years writing a column called “Kenny’s World.” Some Kenny’s World columns can be found below.
